OK, you respond here to an old message from me, and I was very angry since the sketch you play in Geneve... But you're true on one point: it's stupid for 2 french boys to have an argument in english... For the rest, I shit on Skrew... In 94, when Ian "son of a bitch" died, we make a party with the SHARP Paris so, excuse me, but I know what I talkin' about when I defend friends in front of a lot of so-called antifa who don't try to understand nothing at all.
And the band you talk about have banned the cover of "I don't like you" from his set.
What I said now it's that the situation of "antiracist skinhead scene" in France seems a bad joke... Don't talk about unity when some SHARP (who have nothing to prove) are not welcomed in a antifa gig in Paris like the last one with you-know-wich-band... It's just ridiculous.
I hope we can have a drink at the gig we organised in south of France, 8 & 9 th july.
Cheers "mate"

hi friends I don't think there is a place for pl=oemics on this website but i don't understand why the janitors after what they said during the antiracist fetival from geneva, played in the westof france in front of bllod and honor skinheads! i don't understand why they said "Rennes is not geneva" and why they play three skrewdriver tracts? If they are SHARP why do they play RAC music? And especially from a band who singing "sharp skin mus die"? this is the only question i have to ask!

Hi "Sharp without illusions"...
What you've write is just bollocks, so there's no polemic to have with. So shut your mouth.
If you have any problem with this message, I don't know who you are but you (if you're a french guy as I think) certainly know who am I.
Antifascist salutation.

hi friends I don't think there is a place for pl=oemics on this website but i don't understand why the janitors after what they said during the antiracist fetival from geneva, played in the westof france in front of bllod and honor skinheads! i don't understand why they said "Rennes is not geneva" and why they play three skrewdriver tracts? If they are SHARP why do they play RAC music? And especially from a band who singing "sharp skin mus die"? this is the only question i have to ask! Hi, Janitors are good friend of mine, they're truely antifascists and they've never denied it. Moreover I know the singer since the age of 14 when we both became skinheads. With the local mates and especially the singer of the Janitors, who is very efficient in street battles, we cleaned the scene here down in La Rochelle which was strongly infected by boneheads and nazi psychobillies. So stop telling shits and lies on them, they're a good band, truely antifascists. The fact is that they're hated in France both by nazis, because of their presence in the Geneva's festival and their song "Durango 88", and by commies because they're not affiliated to any left-wing sect. I know somekind of band in the 80's who had such problems too, we might say the "you-know-which-band"... Finally, about the concert in Rennes, stop tellin' bullshits just to rot their reputation.Where you there? I don't think so..They're weren't any blood and honour shitheads and they did not cover 3 Skrewdriver songs. They use to cover Identity from the Rebels, Nice Boys from Rose Tatoo, Victims from the Strike and soon fight the real enemy from the Business. About the "i don't like you" cover they sang "Ian we don't like you" , so stop arguing when you don't even know the facts. By the way, I was told that the Oppressed used to cover some Skrewdriver song in the early years, is that true? Stay true, Stay Sharp!

Skinhead is Skinhead. There should be no need to justify yourself to anyone, or apologise for it. If someone wants to be ignorant and think that you have to be racist, fuck 'em.
What it is is a 'youth cult' from Britain, nothing more, nothing less. Every faction of youth had it's arese-holes (has!), and always will. It's about looking right, listening to the right music, being proud of where your from, sticking with your mates, going to footie, supporting the mighty bluebirds and hearts, going to the coast on bank holidays, rucking in the street with anyone who wants to ruck with you (well it was when I was young!), buying Lambretta's (and possibly those vespa chicken shed things), drinking beer, dancing, pulling birds (and guys if you're a bird or that way inclined!!!!). In other words the whole shebang.
It's not about apologising for other peoples misconceptions, or for being a hoolie.
Now you may notice that all through this rant there has been no mention of the 'R' word? That's correct, it ain't relevant. There are racists in every faction of society, students, casuals, rockers etc. The simple fact is that people (and the fucking great british press) like to quantify their own fears and illusions by putting a label on them, hence the 'all skinheads are racist' illusion which has been portrayed for years, and because of this it has resulted in extremists 'trying' to adopt the image, rather than skinheads becoming extremists (although in the 80's due to this countries political climate at the time (ie. Scum Thatcher) there was a much larger reaction in both ways, although it pains me to say, more so to the RW).
Anyway, after this rant, I have to say I agree with Roddy, a skinhead is a skinhead, and always should be, and the fact is that the Racists did almost destroy it during the 80's, however, now there is the internet and information is at your fingertips, then there is no excuse to be ignorant of your roots!
Hell I may even resurrect the glasgowskins website!!!
Get sussed, get drunk, get a lammie!

Aye Taff, get the glasgowskins website back online! people will think glasgow is the skinhead capital of the world!
Its true, most people dont stop to find out about skinheads, the best recently was a black barmaid at ska sunday saying to us 'Is 'Skinheads Against Racial Predjudice meant to be ironic, because I don't find it very funny...' yes love, we just like to dress up like nazis for a laugh...
It is strange how the skinhead scene is totally divided over the race issue, but i think its cos unlike other scenes with a racist element (punk, psychobilly or black metal spring to mind), skinheads aren't going to just sit there tutting when something annoys them, more likely to get up and hit it!
Theres obviously the inbetweeners who want to think that skinheads a big happy family, but i'd rather keep the sort of posers who want to dress 'like a racist' out of the scene completely, at least in my own city.

i think im the only Skin ever who has never heard a Screwdriver song, i just dont see the point in listening to em No, you're not. I have never had any interest in those useless fucks. Jewdriver, on the other hand, is some hillarious shit. anyone else ever heard of them? a Jewish skinhead band. it's great stuff. Anyways, back on topic. But as far as unity in the skin scene? I find the biggest problem really is the "apolitical" skins scared of the SHARP name because of the fact that there are extremists that are SHARPs but see their extreme political action as a result of them being a SHARP, instead of them acting out on their own political beliefs. I break it down to them as this: "If you would ever dishonor the bond of loyalty between another skinhead becasue of the color of their skin, then you are not, and never were a skinhead, so stop fucking pretending, because it's clear that loyalty doesn't mean that much to you. If you even associate with such said individuals, reguardless of your supposed own beleifs, I again reiterate: What does that loyalty really mean to you?" Fucking raciest twats. I dont know, being a skinhead and my politics really don't ever cross paths. I dont know, I drink beer, watch the fuckin game, and hang out with my boys, do my best and hold my friends above all else, because they're what's important to me. Where are politics even -supposed- to fit into that? Jonny Swagger The Swaggerin' Growlers theswaggeringrowlers.com

Hey Glasgow skins do you know that our little Bordeaux Skins crew was christiened "Spy Market Skins" partly refering to Glasgow Spy Kids? The thing i don't really understand is why Sharp or Rash Sections in Uk are so few. Does it came from the fact that skins in uk are considered as something past or folklorical by general public???

Oi Oi to the Bordeaux Spy Kids! I think theres a lot of SHARP skins in the UK, certainly in Glasgow. RASH isn't really a UK thing, although theres a RASH UK CD released soon that a lot of bands have put tracks to. Overall theres just not a lot of skinheads around these days! ...but the ones that are make up for it
